In the News: Sugar alcohol, Erythritol, has made some news in the last couple of days as being a risk for heart attack and stroke! Cleveland Clinic just recently completed a study with 4000 people who already have high cardiovascular disease risk, and found that adding erythritol to cells made platelets easier to activate and form a clot. I have been backing away more and more from monkfruit and stevia blends, and even from sugar alcohols altogether personally recently, and have been contemplating removing them from my client programs altogether, and this may have just been the final straw for me. I’ve included them for quite some time because some people just believe they need that low to no calorie option for something sweet, but I have evolved into the belief that if you aren’t eating more *sweet* items than you should, the occasional coconut sugar, organic maple syrup or raw local honey are not going to be what causes you not to lose weight, or even to gain weight. The problem lies in overdoing the honey.
So, for now, as I dive in a little deeper in this research, please avoid sugar alcohol blends that include erythritol and xylitol, and use only pure forms of monkfruit or natural stevia extract, if you must. I find them entirely too bitter and I will stick to my occasional raw honey instead. 😉 It may be in the very near future that I eliminate this as a test from my program, but I don’t want to fully eliminate monkfruit and stevia until I have done some more research. I’ll keep y’all posted!
Client spotlight: I just love when I have a client who was extremely successful in my 16 week program, to keep in touch with me and have continued success! I just had an amazing woman today who reached out to me after having completed my program last May, whose weight loss continued, and she just got a blood work update showing a Triglyceride decrease in 12 months (since the month after she started with me) from 162 to 76! Not to mention the 50 pounds she’s lost! Healing continues when you commit to making this a lifestyle change, and not just a diet! Diets don’t work! Lifestyles cure, reverse disease, heal!

I am working on breaking this down into small bite sized sections so you can just choose the sections that interest you, but for now, it’s the one long 4+ hour broadcast. We got amazing feedback about it, and had a lot of fun sharing how this is a worthy way of spending 4-6 hours once a month to ensure you can feed yourself and/or your family healthy all month long!
